At 75 tracks and three CDs, Not Now's The Imperial Singles Collection is _ the size of EMI's classic box set They Call Me the Fat Man, but since that's out of print, this is a good substitute. True, the sequencing is a bit haphazard and the notes leave something to be desired, but as sheer music, this is terrific -- song after song is either a hit, or a song that feels like it was a hit. Fats Domino was one of the most consistently enjoyable singles acts of his generation, and his 45s still satisfy, no matter how they're heard. This set just has the advantage of being generous and affordable, which is not a bad combo at all. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

The Imperial Singles Collection｜CDアルバム
2017年にこの世を去った偉大なるブルースマン、ファッツ・ドミノのインペリアル時代のシングル集。昔BOXものを購入しましたが、手軽に聴ける1枚を探していたところこの作品に行きつきました。1950年のデビューから63年まで在籍したインペリアル期とあって、名曲の数々はほぼ収録されています。因みにコンプリート版はストリーミングで楽しめます。
