Gasparini: Il Bajazet｜CDアルバム
現在のトスカナ州ルッカ近郊出身のガスパリーニは、ヴェネツィアやローマで要職を務めたが、そのオペラはイタリア以外でも幅広く称賛されていたという。また、ピエタではヴィヴァルディの前任のマエストロ・ディ・コーロであったこと、現地ではミケランジェロ・ガスパリーニと共に兄弟で教師として学生の育成活動に当たったことが知られている。CD化されている作品は少ないが、後期に作られたこの作品に加え、Lucio Vero(1719)やAmblete（1705）等のオペラアリアや、世俗的なカンタータ等の声楽曲を聴くことができる。この作品は最初「タメルラーノ」として1711年に初演されたが、「バヤゼット」に改名した版は1719年に初演されている。人気のある台本だったのか、ヴィヴァルディ等も後年、同じタイトルでパスティッチョを作曲しているのは注目に値する。冒頭のsinfoniaはスカルラッティ等の世代に近い書法で書かれているように思われるが、所々後のヴェネツィア派風のフレーズも聴かれる。アリアは特色のあるものが多い。Dolce e L’amorや La Vioretta (ともに第１幕)の歌唱部分のメロディラインはアルビノーニのそれを想起させる。あのファウスティーナ ボルドーニが19歳の時に担ったというイレーネの、Vieni ,vora (第１幕)は、シチリアーナ風のリズムで歌われる美しいアリアだ。また、伴奏では、オーボエやフラウト等様々な楽器が場面場面で入れ代わり立ち代わり使われている。Non e si fido il nido　(第３幕)のダ・カーポ部分の撥弦楽器だけの伴奏は効果的だ。Vendetta si,(第1幕)やNo non disende no(第３幕)を聴くと、書法や旋律こそ世代の違いを感じさせるものの、ある種、ヴィヴァルディと同年代の作曲家以上に、彼に通じる生気や新奇性があるように思われる。
