Kyoretsu Na Rhythm covers most of the bases that any sensible "best-of" should, yet it doesn't feel rounded or complete. Maybe it's the chronologically backward track listing; maybe it's the exclusion of most of the tracks from Solid State Survivor (one of the group's best albums); maybe it's the inclusion of the unessential "Chaos Panic." On their own merits, these songs are all excellent, but for a comprehensive overview of Japan's most influential new wave band, look elsewhere. ~ Ted Mills
