Sky never quite overcame the loss of the versatile Francis Monkman and his battery of keyboards -- Steve Gray and his tendency toward blocky chording and jangling harpsichords never quite made it. In the main, this album is okay, with some interesting arrangements of classical material alongside the original adult alternative stuff; the thing to keep in mind, however, is that drummer Tristan Fry was, for some reason, mixed far too loudly, with the resulting cannon-fire effect often overwhelming guitarists Kevin Peek and John Williams. ~ Steven McDonald

かつて巨匠セゴヴィアに師事し、60年代はクラシック・ギタリストとして活躍したジョン・ウィリアムズを中心に、伝説的なベース・プレイヤーのハービー・フラワーズ、元カーヴド・エアーのキーボード奏者フランシス・モンクマン、オーストラリア出身のギタリスト ケヴィン・ピークとドラマーのトリスタン・フライのラインナップの下UKで結成されたプログレッシブ色の強いフュージョン・バンドSky。本作は、彼らが82年に発表した4枚目のアルバム『Sky 4: Forthcoming』のリマスターCDとボーナスDVDのセット。前作よりモンクマンに代わって加入したスティーヴ・グレイを迎えたラインナップ。DVDには、BBCのTVプログラムNight Musicから82年7月8日に放送された彼らのライブ映像を収録する。オリジナルのアートワークを復刻するほか、新規エッセイを掲載したブックレットも付属する。
