DJ/producer Ben Liebrand's 11th four-disc compilation of unmixed dance music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s is predictably solid. It's a small goldmine for DJs building a collection, and fans of the eras covered here -- especially early-'80s post-disco R&B, the strain with the most representation -- will find much here that isn't included on typical single-artist anthologies and compilations. The most enduring selections on this volume include Alexander O'Neal's "Criticize," Gladys Knight & the Pips' "Save the Overtime (For Me)," Woods Empire's "Sweet Delight" (a deep cut from the Tabu catalog), and Soul II Soul's "Keep on Movin'." Liebrand also provides his own remix of Level 42's "It's Over." ~ Andy Kellman
