Released through the German wing of Universal, Legenden des Soul is a series of '60s/'70s-oriented anthologies that compile major and minor hits from marquee R&B artists. The volumes consist of original recordings and were made available as compact discs and as digital downloads. Isaac Hayes' Legenden des Soul consists of 15 tracks, highlighted by essential material like "Never Can Say Goodbye," "Joy," "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," "I Can't Turn Around," and "Walk on By," as well as the relatively unpopular -- but still excellent -- "Hung Up on My Baby," part of the Tough Guys soundtrack (and technically a B-side). ~ Andy Kellman
