Recorded at Exito Studio, Lisbon, Portugal between November 1993 and April 1994. Portuguese recording artist Paulo Braganca makes his debut on the Luaka Bop label with this lush collection mining flamenco, hip hop, and Brazilian styles performed on piano, concertina and harp. Along with Braganca's originals, Amai includes a handful of traditional fados and a cover of Nick Cave's "Sorrow's Child." ~ Jason Ankeny
