Composer: Henry Mancini. Liner Note Author: Randall Larson. Recording information: Anvil Studios, Denham Bucks. For this very slight George Segal/Jacqueline Bisset comedy-mystery, Mancini wrote a charming little theme tune in the style of Bach or Mouret, setting the classical European air quite nicely, thank you. It's not usually included in his compilations or regarded much at all, but it deserves another listen. The rest of this pleasant album continues with the faux-classical theme, with Mancini alluding to Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Handel, as well as the usual -- for a mystery -- suspenseful, haunting orchestral rumblings. ~ Ted Mills

Who Is Killing The Great Chefs Of Europe?｜CDアルバム
御大ヘンリー・マンシーニのユーモアたっぷりで明るいタッチの作品。冒頭からノリノリのサウンドでスタート。御大の作品は楽しみながら且つ遊び心満点で聴けるところがある。かと思えば、エンド・タイトルの「ナターシャのテーマ」はジャクリーン・ビセットの魅力を充分引き出しながらじっくり聴かせてくれる美しいメロディーだと思う。御大は流石です。
