Among the highlights of the collection are the string-laden "I Don't Want to Cry," the melancholy "Any Day Now (My Wild Beautiful Bird)," and the passionate "Something You Got" (with Maxine Brown), all of which boast lush, pop-tinged arrangements and Jackson's husky, emotive vocals. While there are numerous single-disc Jackson anthologies on the market, this is arguably the finest.
