MY EARLY BURGLARY YEARS is a rarities album that spans the gamut of Morrissey's solo career. It is an Enhanced CD containing both a full audio program as well as multimedia computer files, including a video for the song, "Sunny".
Personnel includes: Morrissey (vocals).
Producers: Steve Lillywhite, Stephen Street, Clive Langer, Alan Winstanley, Mick Ronson.
Photographer: Kevin Cummins.
Unhappy is the lot of the Morrissey completist (which is probably ok, too). As with the Smiths, the discography of the Mopey One is filled with an endless array of singles, EP's and non-album cuts. Put the Atlantic Ocean between yourself and Manchester, and you'll only multiply the number of releases you've missed. Luckily, Stephen Patrick makes a habit of culling together his finest rarities and b-sides, lest one lonely listener miss one beautifully miserable moment. MY EARLY BURGLARY YEARS casts a wide net, and pulls in some truly great rewards.
Opening with the well-crafted, insistent "Sunny," this collection runs the gamut of Morrissey's career, including a good few Stephen Street collaborations ("At Amber," the downright jaunty "Sister I'm A Poet"). His later work is well represented, among which standouts include the unsurprisingly titled "Nobody Loves Us" and the seething "Jack The Ripper." An added bonus is a live recording of T Rex's "Cosmic Dancer," complete with Morrissey's trademark ravenous audience.
録音 : ステレオ (Studio/Live)
