Waltzing with You is a re-release of the soundtrack from the documentary film Brother's Keeper; a work that truly enhances the effectiveness of the film. At the same time, it is a fine and wonderful CD that stands on its own merits. Jay Ungar and Molly Mason have that rare ability to evoke mood swings with the tonalities of their music. Ungar is an especially fine fiddle player. This is simple music played with overwhelming feeling and conviction. Ungar is perhaps best known for his work on The Civil War, the PBS award-winning documentary, but his and Mason's The Lovers' Waltz probably ranks as an equal accomplishment, and Waltzing with You is right up there with its companion. ~ Bob Gottlieb
