Fashions, come and go, but Bond is forever, a fact borne out by both the 007 film TOMORROW NEVER DIES and its aural companion. While the soundtrack to this suspenseful flick is made up mostly of moody orchestral pieces composed by David Arnold, there are a couple of pop-oriented tunes thrown in for good measure. The album opens with the title tune, as sung by Sheryl Crow. It's a state-of-the-art pop confection that incorporates the mysterious edge of the traditional Bond music. k.d. lang pops up as well, with the lush-but-dark ballad "Surrender." Moby caps it all off with a postmodern flourish on his technofied version of the classic "James Bond Theme."
