First released in 1971, Brian Auger's next project after leaving his previous band the Trinity was notable for featuring future Average White Band members Jim Mullen and Robbie McIntosh, as well as for making forays into both progressive rock and jazz fusion territory. Tracks like John McLaughlin's fiery "Dragon Song" and the crepuscular "Total Eclipse" highlight the band's instrumental skills, while the prog rock "On the Road" and "The Sword" conjure elements of early King Crimson.
