グラウプナーの知られざるカンタータ。

ハンブルク歌劇場のチェンバリスト、ヘッセン=ダルムシュタット方伯の宮廷楽長を務めたJ.S.バッハと同時代のドイツ・バロックの作曲家、クリストフ・グラウプナーのカンタータ集。師であるヨハン・クーナウの後任として聖トーマス教会のカントル候補として指名されながらも、雇用主であったヘッセン=ダルムシュタット方伯がグラウプナーを手放さず、カントル職はJ.S.バッハの手に渡ったというエピソード持つ。当時のドイツではテレマン、ヘンデルに次ぐ人気を誇ったグラウプナーだが、遺族が出版等の権利を持てなかった、弟子が少なかったなどの理由から、長い間その実力に反して不当に忘れられた存在となってきた。そんなグラウプナーの知られざるカンタータ集を再興すべく歌うのは、オーストリアの若き古楽系ソプラノ、ミリアム・フォイエルジンガーと、フランツ・ヴィッツムの「天の歌(CHR 77354)」で清新な演奏を聴かせてくれたスイスのピリオド・アンサンブル、カプリコルナス・コンソート・バーゼル。フォイエルジンガーの心地よい歌声で、グラウプナーの官能的なカンタータのスタイルが見事に再現されている。

《ああ、神と主よ》を除く全曲が世界初録音。
