The third release from London-based outfit Fanfarlo is largely a concept album, following a distinct theme of human evolution and exploring the "possible futures" that lie ahead. Titled Let's Go Extinct, the record unravels through a diverse list of genres, with '50s electronic music, soft rock, Krautrock, and spaghetti Western all found here, as too is a large range of intricate instrumentation. Recorded in North Wales with musician and producer David Wrench (Alessi's Ark, Skinny Lister), it was self-released on their own New World Records label. ~ Scott Kerr|

ロンドンのオーケストラル・ポップ・バンドが、カリブー仕事で知られるデヴィッド・レンチを指揮官に迎えて2年ぶりの新作を発表。ストリングスやホーン、チェンバロといった多彩な音色が躍る作りは変わらないながら、知的なアレンジによってバンド・サウンドがシュッと引き締まった印象です。また、2013年のEPより導入したシンセが本格的に幅を利かせはじめ、アーケイド・ファイアの最新作みたいなダンス曲もあり。
