Muscling into Ministry of Sound territory and giving that label's Annual series some serious competition, Universal's This Is Dance 2014 rounds up a huge mound of dancefloor hits, most of them quite necessary. Maybe MOS beats Universal when it comes to filler, since there are just a couple daft tracks here, but there are two giant megamixes tacked to the end of this set as a bonus, making party starting ever so simple. EDM and the EDM-flavored side of pop are both represented with highlights coming from the likes of Martin Garrix (his "Animals" is an EDM anthem), Fatboy Slim ("Eat Sleep Rave Repeat" is the funkiest clubber credo possible), and Lady Gaga (whose hit "Applause" gets the remix treatment from Empire of the Sun). ~ David Jeffries
