The Dutch symphonic metal band follow 2011's enormously successful The Unforgiving with this, their sixth studio album. The record sees them branching out into many new and unexpected styles, as symbolized by the many-headed mythical beast on the cover drawn by X-Men artist Romano Molenaar. It includes guest vocal performances by Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage, Soul Asylum's Dave Pirner, rapper Xzibit, and former Nightwish vocalist Tarja Turunen on the single "Paradise (What About Us?)." This super deluxe box set edition features a second disc containing eight bonus tracks, including a number of unlikely cover versions; a third CD with an instrumental version of the album; and the whole album on double vinyl.
