独学でギター奏法を習得し、生まれ故郷のナポリからパリへと渡り、大成功を収めたイタリアを代表するコンポーザー=ギタリスト、フェルディナンド・カルッリ(1772-1841)の未出版作品集。フェルナンド・ソルが台頭するまで、パリで絶対的な名声と評価を得ていたカルッリ。ギターのためのメソッド、多作家としても有名なカルッリだが、自作の出版に関しては決して恵まれているとは言えなかっただけに、未出版作品の録音の登場は歓迎されることだろう。
