ザ・カルト、バウハウス、ザ・シャーラタンズ、ゲイリー・ニューマン、ザ・フォールなど数多くのレジェンド・アーティストを輩出してきた＜Beggars Banquet＞が、フィールズ・オブ・ザ・ネフィリムのレア音源をたっぷり収録したCD5枚組のボックスセットをリリース!1984年に英ハートフォードシャーで、ヴォーカルのカール・マッコイを中心に結成。当時のロンドンではシスターズ・オブ・マーシー、サザン・デス・カルト(のちにザ・カルト)、ミッションらが牽引したポジティヴ・パンク/ゴシック・ロックなどと括られるダークでヘヴィなサウンドがアンダーグラウンド・シーンを中心に人気を集め、彼らもまたそうしたシーンで注目された。名作と名高い1stから3rdまでのオリジナル・アルバムと1990年のパフォーマンスを収録したライヴ・アルバム『Earth Inferno』、そしてこのボックスセットのために新たにシングルやリミックスがたっぷりコンパイルされた『Singles & Mixes』を収録!
