Like a lot of the releases in Legacy's Playlist series, Playlist: The Very Best of Expose is somewhere between a proper anthology and a thoughtful rarities compilation. The five big singles from the group's 1987 debut album are present in their 7" versions, while radio and club mixes of songs taken from their 1989 and 1992 albums are also featured. The only selection taken directly from an album is "In Walked Love." For the more serious fans, mixes of "Tell Me Why," "Stop, Listen, Look & Think," and "I Wish the Phone Would Ring" were previously unreleased in the United States. Greatest Hits, released in 1995 and still in print as of 2014, is a better choice for those who want a basic overview. ~ Andy Kellman
