Antiphon is the fourth album from Texan indie-folk outfit Midlake and is the first record since lead singer/songwriter Tim Smith left the band in 2012. They had spent two years together on a new record, but after Smith left, the remaining members scratched the written material and instead wrote and recorded Antiphon in just six months. The departure allowed guitarist Eric Pulido to step into the vacant lead vocalist spot and introduced new members Jesse Chandler and Joey McClellan.|
