15歳の時に放ったデビュー作から2年、この2作目での成長ぶりには驚いた。前作がカヴァー中心だったのに対し、今回はすべて自作曲。ピアノの弾き語りによるシンプルな構成だからこそ、歌声の深さ、表現の豊かさが浮き彫りに。もしいまアデルやフローレンス・ウェルチが17歳だったら、こんなアルバムを作るのではないだろうか……なんて思えるほど、ビターな雰囲気と少女期特有のピュアネスが美しい。
