This excellent 16-track compilation covers the first 11 albums by the finest of the British folk-rock acts of the '70s, Steeleye Span. Formed by ex-Fairport Convention bassist Ashley Hutchings, the band is arguably more consistently entertaining than its friendly Fairport rivals.
