The debut, self-titled full-length album from Union J showcases the boy band's dance-oriented pop and R&B and follows up their Top Ten-charting single "Carry You." The fourth-place finishers on the 2012 season of Britain's X-Factor, Union J features the talents of members George Shelley, Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett, and Jaymi Hensley. After leaving X-Factor, Union J began recording their debut album, working with a handful of writers and producers including Steve Mac (the Wanted, the Saturdays), Claude Kelly (Big Time Rush, Jessie J), Lindy Robbins (Fifth Harmony, Demi Lovato), and others. Included on the album are the singles "Carry You" and "Beautiful Life."

ワン・ダイレクションに続き、2012年のUK版「Xファクター」から誕生した注目のボーイズ・バンド“ユニオンJ”は、25歳のJJ・ハンブレット、23歳のジャイミ・ヘンスリー、20歳のジョージ・シェリー、21歳のジョッシュ・クスバートから成る4人組。オーディション参加時は、JJ/ジァイミ/ジョッシュの3人の“J”で結成された”Triple J“、ソロで参加したジョージと2組のライバル同士だったが、オーディション中に受けたアドバイスでTriple Jにジョージが加わった4人組で“ユニオン J”を結成し4位になったことで、デビューを勝ち得た。JJは元ジョッキー志望。ジャイミはオーディション中にゲイであることを告白し勇気を讃えられ、またビブラートの効いた高音が魅力的な上手いシンガー。ジョージはミュージシャン家系の出身でギターが得意、またグラフィック・デザイナーを志していたことでバンドのアートワークについて担当している。ジョッシュはゴールキーパーを目指して本格的なトレーニングを積んでいた、JJと並ぶスポーツマン。それぞれが夢を追って、または別の夢をあきらめて今のグループで輝いている。ワン・ダイレクションに続くボーイズ・バンドとして全世界から注目が集まる中、いよいよデビュー・アルバムが届けられる!
