Enhancements include film clips, theatrical trailers plus expanded liner notes and photos. Original score by Pino Donaggio. Composer: Pino Donaggio. A nicely evocative score album that doesn't resort to the cliches of horror film scoring -- far fewer loud stings and far more thematic development than might be expected. Pino Donaggio has well earned his place amongst the best composers for film, and was an inspired choice for this particular effort. The one area in which the score is somewhat lacking is in the songs themselves: Katie Irving's vocals are far too weak for the music. Otherwise, subtlety is the order of the day -- gentle melody counterbalanced against terrible horror. Ryko's Enhanced CD includes the film's spectacular trailer. ~ Steven McDonald

スティーヴン・キング原作、ブライアン・デ・パルマ監督のカルト的人気を誇る超能力少女の悲劇を描いた青春ホラー。デ・パルマとの名コンビでその後も数々の名仕事を残していったピノ・ドナジオの傑作がついにリイシューです。惨劇の前のあまりにもロマンティックなメロディーで聴かせる歌やストリングス、フルートの音色……それが作品にギャップを生み、より恐怖を増幅させることになるのだ。いやぁ～、美しすぎる。
