For the 2013 mixtape Defected in the House Ibiza 2013, compiled and mixed by Simon Dunmore, the Defected label head dips into a mix of fun, saucy, Ibiza house jams. The club beats are thumping and the transitions are tight. So tight, in fact, that Dunmore rarely lets any of the 16 tracks play out for more than a minute, leaving the set a little on the short side at just over ten minutes long. Even so, his picks are solid, and it's a good short dance mix, heavy on hard acid basslines and smooth vocals. "Jack" by Breach, "Heartbeat" by Miguel Migs (featuring Lisa Shaw), and "Dust and Ashes" by the Tooth Faeries are just a few of the highlights. ~ Jason Lymangrover
