Three years before crossing over when "A Real Hero" was included on the stellar Drive soundtrack, David Grellier, aka College, released his first EP, Teenage Color. The synth-heavy material on the five-song outing is crafted from the same cloth: neon-lit French electronic music that sounds distinctively of the '80s. Comprised entirely of upbeat instrumentals crafted with analog keyboards and drum machines, it's a good introduction to the arpeggiated basslines and synthesized handclaps that shape College's later work. ~ Jason Lymangrover|
