The Pirates includes: Mick Green (vocals, guitar); B.J. Anders (vocals, bass); Romek Parol (drums). Personnel: Mick Green (vocals, guitar); B.J. Anders (vocals); Romer Parol (drums). Audio Mixer: Rainer Neumann. Recording information: Amptown Studios, Helsingborg, Sweden (10/01/1996); Tavastia Club, Helsinki, Finland (10/01/1996). Mick Green was still the guitarist in the Pirates on this late-'90s effort, sharing lead vocals with bassist B.J. Anders. It's ho-hum hard rock, sometimes pursuing a ghastly MOR sound, and best when it goes into the more familiar R&B/rock territory Green is known for, such as on the covers of "Fortune Teller" and Billy Fury's "Wondrous Place." The material is average at best and bad at worst, sometimes sounding like a desperate attempt to pick up some radio airplay. "Sex on Legs" isn't far from Spinal Tap, with the lyric, "she serves it hot/she is like a good restaurant." ~ Richie Unterberger
