フランスの名手、デザンクロが奏でるフランス・バロックのオルガンの大家ルイ・マルシャン作品集

ルイ・マルシャンのオルガン作品集。ルイ・マルシャンは、リュリの没年にパリに住み、ラモーの「イポリートとアリシー」の初演の前年に亡くなった、まさにフランス・バロックの重要期を生きた作曲家。1717年頃、J.S.バッハとのオルガン演奏対決を持ちかけられたものの、おそれをなして逃げ出した、という逸話でも知られています。13歳で王宮のオルガニストに任命されるほどの天才ぶりでならしていました。このディスクでは、3つの組曲と、ユーモアとシリアスさが共存するディアログ(レジスターの対照的な使用をする楽曲)を収録。革新的な作曲形式、音色の美しさを追求した音の配列など、オルガンの名手であったマルシャンならではの魅力に満ちた作品が揃いました。演奏を手掛けるのは、イゾワールの下でも研鑽を積んだフランスの名手デザンクロです。
