While the rest of the At Play series grabbed their respective, relatively recent (as of the 2010s) 12"s and remixes from EDM superstar Deadmau5, At Play in the USA, Vol. 1 is comprised of older tunes, most of it pulled from the 2008 Melleefresh vs. Deadmau5 At Play, Vol. 1. Dig that rapper/producer team-up and you've got the big naughty club track "Sex Slave" right here, along with four other Melleefresh-helmed tracks and the big solo hit "Faxing Berlin." The Billy Newton-Davis collaborations are much more pop and Black Eyed Peas-sounding, while "This Is the Hook" from the Mau5's BSOD project lands here again after being featured on At Play, Vol. 1. Grab this if you can't find the Melleefresh EP, but otherwise, this is just a crafty mau5trap, making fans re-buy widely available material. ~ David Jeffries
