1985年、UKはコヴェントリーにて結成された4人組で、ジーザス・アンド・ザ・メリー・チェインを彷彿させるフィードバック・ギターに、トレイシー嬢のキャンディ・ヴォイスがのったインディ・ポップ～ジャングリー・ポップ～シューゲイズ・ポップなサウンドで人気を博したプリミティヴズ。本作は、RCAと契約するまで所属していたLAZY RECORDS時代(1985年～1987年)の音源をコンパイルした2枚組。シングル曲、B面曲、バンド初期(1985年)の貴重なデモ音源、1987年のアルバム・セッション音源、そしてモリッシーがバンドを紹介するシーンも聴ける1987年のICA(ロンドン)でのライヴ音源など、さらには未発表曲も10曲ほど収録された編集盤! リマスター、レアな写真掲載のブックレット仕様です。1987年当時のLAZY RECORDSには、あのマイ・ブラッディ・ヴァレンタインも在籍し「Sunny Sundae Smile」や「Strawberry Wine」、「Ecstasy」を発表しており、本編集盤はそれらとの同時代性も感じることができる内容です!
