Dick first joined the No Limit camp, he was primarily a producer. In fact, as one of the founding members of Beats By The Pound, recording an R&B solo album was the farthest thing from his mind. But on his solo debut, GANGSTA HARMONY, MO B delivers an album that offers roots in R&B, hip-hop, classic soul and jazz. Often sounding similar to Maxwell or D'Angelo, the songs on GANGSTA HARMONY are entirely self-produced. Admittedly influenced heavily by classic R&B, Mo B.D. lets those inspirations shine through on tracks like "U Got That Fire" and "I'd Be A Fool." Naturally there are also some hip-hop tracks of the sort the No Limit camp is used to banging out, most notably "Part 3," which features Mia X, Magic and C-Murder, and "What's On Your Mind?" where Silkk the Shocker drops in to add some lyrical madness. GANGSTA HARMONY is a diversified and well-rounded solo debut from this extremely talented writer/producer.
