Subtitled Country Roads, Country Days, this 21-track collection cherry-picks the best stuff from 11 different Prestige-Bluesville albums that were originally issued during the first blues revival between 1960 and 1962. The song selection is wide and varied within the confines of the genre, and with each artist getting a two-song entry (with the one-song exception of St. Louis Jimmy's "Goin' Down Slow"), the set has a feel quite similar to a small blues recital from the mid-'60s. Highlights include K.C. Douglas ("Wake Up, Working Woman"), Alec Seward ("Evil Woman Blues"), Doug Quattlebaum ("You Is One Black Rat"), Scrapper Blackwell and Brooks Berry ("Blues and Trouble"), Jesse Fuller ("Key to the Highway"), Snooks Eaglin ("That's All Right"), Henry Townsend ("I Asked Her If She Loved Me"), Shakey Jake ("Jake's Cha Cha") and Arbee Stidham ("You Can't Live In This World By Yourself").
