パット・メセニー・バンドの重要人物として、広く名前も知られる実力派ドラマー、アントニオ・サンチェスの3作目となるリーダー・アルバム。2007年に初リーダー作をリリース以来、個性を誇るサックス2管をフィーチャーしたカルテット編成を基本にしてきましたが、本作の最大の特徴は、ピアノ及びローズを導入している点。ハーモニー楽器を導入し、全曲サンチェスによるコンポジションを強靭かつ厚みを持ったサウンドで描き上げて行きます。フロント・メンバーも変更し、前2作に参加したダヴィッド・サンチェス、アルトの鬼才ミゲル・ゼノーンから、1990年代より虎視眈々とニューヨークのシーンを伺い、実力を上げてきたデヴィッド・ビニーとドニー・マッキャスリンをフィーチャー。ベースには、ルドビッシュ・マハンサッパやスティーヴ・リーマンのバンドでも活躍する鬼才マット・ブリューアー。気骨溢れる、現代の才能が結集したバンドと言えます。強靭でアグレッシブ。しかし、それでいて、メロディ・センスも抜群で、細かいニュアンスも絶妙なサウンド。その音楽の豊かさは、間違いなく、サンチェスの「ハーモニーや音階も意識したドラミング」(パット・メセニー曰く、「ハーモニー楽器を抜いてもサンチェスのドラミングからは曲のコード感が聴こえる」)を基本としているわけですが、生み出された音楽が、他の誰のものでもなく、オリジナルな音になるのも、そのセンスから。いちドラマーとしてのみならず、リーダーとしての才覚も素晴らしいものを感じます。ライナー・ノーツもパット・メセニーが執筆。自身もゲスト参加したデビュー作『Migration』をスタート地点に据えながら、「飛躍を感じさせる確固たる重要作品」と絶賛。
