フー・ファイターズ、ベック、グリーン・デイ、ディセンバーリスツ、ビル・フリゼールなど、ロックからジャズまで著名なミュージシャンのセッション・ミュージシャンとして活躍するシンガー/バイオリニストであり、またジャズ・ベーシスト、チャーリー・ヘイデンの娘でもあるミュージシャンズ・ミュージシャン ペトラ・ヘイデンが紡ぐ映画音楽。映画好きな彼女が、スクリーンを飾った曲を自分の解釈で歌うことは長年の構想であったが、本作でついに実現。ゲスト・ミュージシャンには、父チャーリー・ヘイデンの他、ギターにビル・フリゼール、ピアノにブラッド・メルドーといった燻銀のジャズ・ミュージシャンが並ぶ。

ジャズ・べーシスト、チャーリー・ヘイデンの娘にして、若かりし頃からインディーロック系での活動も盛んであったシンガー、ペトラ・ヘイデン。ビル・フリゼールとの共演盤や近年では故ポール・モチアン作品でもフィーチャーされて、ジャズ・シーンとも親密になりつつあるが、彼女の新録音は、アカペラ多重録音をメインとしたユニークな映画音楽作品集。『サイコ」から『ソーシャル・ネットワーク』までをひとり多重録音で聴かせてくれる。
