ヨーロッパ・ジャズ・ヴァイオリンの代表選手、ジャン=リュック・ポンティが1970年代にアトランティックからリリースした5作品をセットにした超お買い得ボックス。初リーダー作『Upon the Wings of Music』(1975年)、パトリース・ラッシェンが前作に続き参加しているセカンド・アルバム『Aurora/極光』(1976年)、20分にも及ぶ大作のタイトル曲の他、アメリカでヒットとなった"New Country"を収録した『Imaginary Voyage/桃源への旅立ち』(1976年)、今でも頻繁にサンプリングネタとして取り上げられる代表作"Mirage"を収録し、アラン・ホールズワース、ダリル・ステューマー、スティーヴ・スミスといった凄腕ミュージシャンとの白熱した演奏をフィーチャーした傑作『Enigmatic Ocean/秘なる海』(1977年)、ジャン=リュック・ポンティの技巧が炸裂し、エコー・ディレイを革新的に使った圧巻のタイトル曲"I Only Feel Good With You"などを収録した『Cosmic Messenger/コズミック・メッセンジャー』(1978年)を収録。
