かつて自身が世に広めたステッパーズにさらなるレトロ感を加えてソウル・スタイリストを気取った前作から1年半ぶりとなる新作。さすがに路線変更するかと思いきや、現行R&Bマナーのアルバムも別途準備しているからか、先に出した70sフィリー・ソウルへのオマージュ的な流麗ダンサー“Share My Love”のように今回も臆面なくオールド・スクール路線で突っ走る。サルソウル風のパーカッシヴなアップを筆頭に、ビル・ウィザーズまんまなセカンド・シングル“Feelin' Single”、さらにスピナーズ、テンプテーションズ、アイズリーズ、レイ・チャールズ調などを伸び伸びと歌うケルズがやたら清々しい。それでいて往年のサウンドの焼き直しに止まらないあたりは現代R&Bキングの意地か。余裕すぎる傑作だ。
