いにしえのフォーク・ソング(なかには1800年代に作られた曲も!)を取り上げた、ニール・ヤング&クレイジー・ホースとしては9年ぶりとなる一枚。大統領選挙の年にこういった作品を出してくること自体が興味深いのですが、ギターを核とするエネルギッシュなバンド演奏とパワフルな歌声を無邪気に楽しむだけでも◎。コードやメロディーを大幅に変えている曲も多く、ほぼオリジナル作と言って差し支えないでしょう。
