Not Your Kind of People

活動休止から7年。もともと人気プロデューサーだったブッチ・ヴィグは、グリーン・デイやフー・ファイターズのヒットでさらなるステイタスを手に入れ、紅一点のシャーリーもジャック・ホワイトやビリー・コーガンを従えてソロ作に着手するなど(結局はお蔵入り)、この間も個々の名前を見る機会は多かった。が、やはりグループでの新作を待っていたのも事実。ゴシックなエレクトロニカ曲から激情のオルタナ・ロック、クラウス・ノミの声をサンプリングしたサイケ・チューンまで、バンドの魅力がすべて詰め込まれたような出来に大きな拍手を送りたい。彼らを敬愛するアーティスト(ケイティ・ペリーやテイラー・モムセンら)が第一線で活躍しているこのタイミングでの再始動も、きっと追い風になるはずだ。
