1975年に結成、グローヴァー・ワシントンJr.に見出されたフィラデルフィア出身の3人組みフュージョン・グループ、ピーセス・オブ・ア・ドリームによる1995年発売、7枚目のアルバム。本作は、33歳の若さで亡くなった名シンガー、エヴァ・キャシディが「Goodbye Manhattan」「Have A Little Faith」の2曲でリード・ヴォーカルをとっており、米TOPコンテンポラリー・ジャズ・アルバムで6位にチャート・インの大ヒット、彼らの作品の中でもベストセラーとなっている。ボズ・スキャッグスの「We're All Alone」、アンブロージアの「How Much I Feel」の2曲のカヴァー曲を収録。

This is one of Pieces of a Dream's better efforts. Saxophonist Ron Kerber looks toward Grover Washington, Jr., (on soprano) and David Sanborn (during his alto spots) for inspiration and the keyboardists recall Ramsey Lewis but, even with the inclusion of a few throwaway rhythm tracks and some Eva Cassidy pop vocals, some of these selections do contain strong improvising within the R&B genre. Nothing too innovative occurs but the results are mostly quite listenable and always danceable. ~ Scott Yanow|
