米イリノイ州・シカゴ出身の音楽家・インディロックミュージシャンであるAndrew Bird。様々な楽器を自在に操り独自の音楽を奏でる彼。クラシック音楽に囲まれジャズやフォークを聴き育った彼は、ノースウェスタン大学でヴァイオリン・パフォーマンスの学士号を取得し卒業して以来、本格的な音楽活動を続けてきた。今作は西イリノイ、ミシシッピ川の側でレコーディングされた12作目となるアルバム『Break It Yourself』だ。Los Angeles Times誌やRolling Stone誌に大絶賛され話題をかっさらった前作『Noble Beast』から3年、更にパワーアップし強力になった最新作！
