ワーナーへ移籍しての初アルバム。Nasとの共演を果たした(2)、E.L.O.を大胆にサンプリングした(3)など盟友NoI.D.が手がけた強力トラックも最高ですが･･･陽光が当たるようなメロウチューン(9)や、ジョン・レジェンドが歌う(11)などから感じる、溢れ出るポジティブさもすばらしい。これは期待以上の傑作!97年の名作『One Day It'll All MakeSense』級かも!?

初期作のプロデューサーであるノー・ID(カニエの師匠)とコモンが久々に組んでいるという噂だけで胸熱でしたが、仕上がりは期待を遥かに超える完成度。コモンの素晴らしすぎる鬼フロウに対して、ノー・IDはELOをサンプリングした“Blue Sky"を筆頭に絶妙なサンプリングと生楽器(ジェイムズ・ポイザーらが演奏)によって織り成された立体感のあるビートを叩き付ける! 詩人マヤ・アンジェロウを迎えたオープニングやナズとの2大リリシストの揃い踏みは格好良すぎで震えます。ジョン・レジェンドを迎え、お馴染みコモン父のド渋な語りで締める感動的な終盤も出来すぎ。初作『Can I Borrow A Dollar?』から20年、常に作風をアップデートし続けてきた両者がふたたび頂点を極めた、泣ける大傑作!
