Harpist/scholar/arranger Kathleen Loughnane's fourth album (following three with the group Dordan) is a collection of traditional pieces and compositions from across the spectrum, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, arranged (or re-arranged) for harp. Her source material includes hornpipes and fiddle pieces, marches and dances, and the highlight is "The Wild Geese," five and a half minutes of sublimely beautiful playing that seems to come out of another world. The rest is achingly attractive in a more extroverted manner, with "White's Daughter From the Glen" seeming almost jaunty after the ethereal splendors of "The Wild Geese." ~ Bruce Eder|
