グループ名を冠した2005年のファースト・アルバムにて、レーベルに所属することなくブレイクを果たし、2000年代半ばのUSインディー・シーンに大きな爪痕を残したブルックリンの5人組による4年ぶりの3作目。今回、卓の前に座ったのはモデスト・マウスとの仕事で有名なジョン・コングルトン。アレック・オンスワースのソロを含む数々の課外活動で吹っ切れたのか、前作に漂っていた内向きなムードはほぼ払拭されている。冒頭の“Same Mistake"や“Maniac"“Ketamine And Ecstasy"など初作の頃の〈几帳面な反復ビート〉と〈ヘロヘロな歌声〉との対比から生まれるあの奇妙な昂揚感が、スケールアップしてついに戻ってきたという印象だ。アレックのヴォーカルにはどこかマイケル・スタイプの面影も。
