Before Freddie Mercury's death in November of 1991, Queen recorded a number of rough tracks, knowing that the end of his life was near. All of Mercury's vocal tracks were finished, but the backing tracks were incomplete. It took Queen two years before they started working on the record and another two before the resulting album, Made in Heaven, was released. As a posthumous release, it is very good; in many ways it's a stronger, and more consistent, album than their last record, Innuendo. It's clear that Mercury was struggling throughout the recording, as the quality of his voice varies throughout the album. However, when he's on, as on the bluesy "Mother Love," the results are as good as anything Queen released since The Game. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine|

病魔と戦いながらも最後まで音楽への情熱を消さなかったフレディ・マーキュリー。
彼の死を受け入れ、乗り越え、最後の録音を作品として仕上げた３人のメンバーの思いが胸を熱くする。
過去の作品やメンバーのソロ作品のリメイクを含む本作、そんな事は全くネガティブに作用しない。
歌われるのは愛、友情、生きる事への感謝。

QUEENとして築き上げてきたメロディの集大成。4年の歳月をかけたサウンドを嗜むのはもちろん、進化を遂げたメロディ、メッセージ、フレディが残した情熱などなど聴きどころでしかないようなトラックたちは永遠であってしかるべき。
