ピアノトリオの名作『ジェントリー・ディスターブド』と、自身のルーツを色濃く音楽に反映させた『オーロラ』は対となって彼が描く音楽世界の幅を表現していた。が、本作ではその二方向の音楽性を見事に融合。シャイ・マエストロの美しい旋律とミニマリズム、変拍子をカラフルに表現するマーク・ジュリアーナ。音楽の根幹にはアヴィシャイの強靭なベースと中東的ヴォイスが存在し、ウード、ヴォーカル、パーカッション、ジミー・グリーンを含む4管が、楽曲によって出入りする。
