2001年GRAMMY賞にて"ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2001"に輝いたコーエン兄弟監督による『オー･ブラザー！』のサウンドトラック盤がこれまで未発表だった13トラックを収録したボーナス･ディスクを付けた2CD DELUXE EDITIONで登場。音楽史においても重要な作品で、RIAAによるとサウンドトラック･リリース史上最も売れたTOP10入りを果たし、21世紀におけるベスト･セラー･アルバムとしても17位に君臨している名盤中の名盤。オリジナル･サウンドトラックのリリースから10年を記念してプロデューサー,T Bone Burnettが本リリースでも全面的に協力。ブルーグラスのみならず、ルーツ･ミュージック、アメリカーナ･ミュージックがこのサントラのヒットにより注目を集めたという点においてもとても重要な意味を持つ作品。このボーナス･ディスクに収録されている初お目見えの13曲は元々は映画のためのオリジナル･セッションで録音されたが、“Cow Road”と“In The Highways”以外は映画に使われることもなかったため、ずっとお蔵入りになっていた。
