His first studio recording since 2007, El Amor Existe returns Puerto Rican salsa singer Jerry Rivera to the tropical music scene after exploring the world of telenovelas (starring as himself in Mi Destino Eres) and reality television (as a judge on Idol Puerto Rico). Two number one hits (the opening cover of Rodrigo Garcia's "Solo Pienso en Ti" and the closing take on Fernando Osorio's "Solo con un Beso") plus one that climbed to number two on the U.S. Tropical Songs chart (the title track) are all proof the album is fan-approved, but the second line of songs certainly wouldn't be considered filler. Rivera's appearance on the salsa version of Tito el Bambino's 2011 hit "Llueve el Amor" lands here too, rounding out what's arguably his most successful non-tribute studio album since 1996's Fresco. ~ David Jeffries
