Queen: Freddie Mercury (vocals, piano); Brian May (guitar, harp, ukulele, background vocals); John Deacon (electric piano, acoustic & electric basses); Roger Taylor (percussion, background vocals). Recorded at Sarm Studios, Roundhouse Studios, Olympic Studios, Scorpio Studios, Landsdowne Studios, London, England and Rockfield Studios, Wales. Queen were straining at the boundaries of hard rock and heavy metal on Sheer Heart Attack, but they broke down all the barricades on A Night at the Opera, a self-consciously ridiculous and overblown hard rock masterpiece. Using the multi-layered guitars of its predecessor as a foundation, A Night at the Opera encompasses metal ("Death on Two Legs," "Sweet Lady"), pop (the lovely, shimmering "You're My Best Friend"), campy British music hall ("Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon," "Seaside Rendezvous"), and mystical prog rock ("'39," "The Prophet's Song"), eventually bringing it all together on the pseudo-operatic "Bohemian Rhapsody." In short, it's a lot like Queen's own version of Led Zeppelin IV, but where Zep find dark menace in bombast, Queen celebrate their own pomposity. No one in the band takes anything too seriously, otherwise the arrangements wouldn't be as ludicrously exaggerated as they are. But the appeal -- and the influence -- of A Night at the Opera is in its detailed, meticulous productions. It's prog rock with a sense of humor as well as dynamics, and Queen never bettered their approach anywhere else. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

オペラ座の夜 - 50周年記念エディション＜完全生産限定盤/カラー・ヴァイナル＞｜LPレコード
最近のUS盤　もう10万位ゴミ箱にすてました。日本盤でなく輸入だった。どんなにクリニングしてもB盤の1曲目のプチノイズが大きすぎて我慢できない！もう、完全な国内盤しかかわない！

A Night At The Opera＜限定盤/Clear Colored Vinyl＞｜LPレコード
かつて大昔の「オペラ座の夜」のワーナー日本盤LPには、オリジナルLPにあるカッコイイ内袋が付いて無かった。
今回の写真を見ると、ホワイトビニールを包んでるのは、あのメンバー4人を写した憧れていた内袋ではないか！　　惹かれてしまつた。

購入してみたら開封して、内袋（とホワイトビニール）に対面する前に、アルバムジャケットのタイトルロゴが「金ピカピカ」の文字なのに萎えた…。違うんだよな…。それにタイトルの下には「50th Anniversary Edition」の余計な文字！要らんわ、やめてくれ、こんなん！！　「50周年」を祝いたいならシールドの上にシールでも貼っておけばいいだろ！と思った。
私らが求めているのは、よりかつての英国オリジナルLP盤に近いモノなのに……。　　大
残念の一言。

開封せず、内袋と対面もしてません。

A Night at the Opera＜限定盤＞｜LPレコード
分離が凄い…
自分は最近レコードにハマってるにわかです
オリジナルの盤を聞き込んだ経験がありせんので肝心のレーベル違いによる差異はあまりレビュー出来ず、機材のしょぼさもありますが…
とにかく左右の分離っぷりが凄い印象を受けました
ステレオ右と左ではっきり別れていて、queenの実験精神(遊び心？)が伝わってきて聞いてると面白くなってきます
ピークはもちろん、ボヘミアンラプソディーです
ただ、レコードでのqueenはこの商品で初めて聞きましたが、デジタルリマスターでならよくある、「聞こえなかった音がよく聞き取れる」的な印象は意外とありませんでした
自分はサブスクでも聞いてますが、ドルビーアトモス的なクッキリハッキリ感はレコードって無いんですね
ドルビーでなら「こんな箇所でこんなフレーズあったのか」という発見が即座にあるのです
しかし、そのフレーズとやらは何処だったか…？レコード再生中には、つい探してしまいました
オリジナルに忠実なレーベルなのかもしれませんね
ジャケットは綺麗で重量感のある盤が魅力的なのですごく満足ではあります
