素晴らしく充実したパーセルの「ディドーとエネアス」!
パーセルの傑作「ディドーとエネアス」には、既に多数の名盤がありますが、ここに新たな名盤が登場しました。なんといってもアラルコン率いるラ・カペラ・メディテラネアがいい!レオナルド・ガルシア・アラルコンは、1976年、アルゼンチンのラ・プラタ生まれ。チェンバロを学び、1997年にスイス、ジュネーヴでクリスティーヌ・ジャコテに師事。1999年にはジュネーヴでラ・カペラ・メディテラネアを結成。以来鍵盤楽器奏者、指揮者として活躍しています。そのアラルコンの「ディドーとエネアス」、強い表現意欲を持ったもので、序曲から悲劇的な緊張感に満ちてます。一方で柔らかい気品や舞曲での沸き立つリズムも見事。
主役ディドーを歌うソレン・ラヴァナン・リンクは、1980年生まれの若いメッゾ。現在スイスを中心に活動、バロック、古典派を歌えば、ワーグナー「パルジファル」の花の乙女やヴェルディ「アイーダ」の巫女も歌うという活躍ぶり。
アルハンドロ・メーラプフェルはアルゼンチン出身のバリトン。非常に広範なレパートリーを誇っており、中でもバロック音楽で高い評価を受けています。
ソ・イェリ徐藝俐(Yeree Suh)は、韓国出身のソプラノ。ソウルで学んだ後、ドイツに留学。2003年、インスブルック古楽祭でヤーコプスが指揮したモンテヴェルディ《オルフェオ》に出演、以来ドイツ語圏を中心にバロック、古典派の声楽作品で活躍しています。
